The following agreement outlines the terms and conditions for goods and services sold by Gallus & Rea Design Furniture from our online store. By placing an order for goods and/or services you agree to these terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of 30% of the purchase total for a cancelled order after a payment is taken.

We cannot guarantee cancellation if the order has already been fulfilled or if it falls outside our cancellation terms with our suppliers. Damaged on arrival - We take special care in packaging your orders to protect them during transit. In the unfortunate circumstance an item has arrived damaged, is faulty or broken, please contact us and once verified we will help arrange a replacement or repair for you. As part of our process of verification we will require photos of the packaging and of the item.
Incorrect item delivered - While we take care to ensure you get the items you ordered, sometimes we get it wrong. If you have found that an item delivered doesn’t match what you have ordered, please contact us and once confirmed we will arrange it to be swapped over.

We will authorise a refund or store credit (online or instore) if we are unable to replace goods that are faulty, have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased on the website or don’t perform as advertised.

We do not accept international orders at this time.
We will dispatch your order once all items are in stock. We use various third party courier networks to offer the most competitive rate available and suitable courier for the type of goods. Expected delivery times vary depending on location.
In Stock – We carry a limited range of our products at our warehouse. If all your items are in stock at time of purchase, we usually dispatch within 2-3 days from when we receive your order.
Back Order and Order In – If we have insufficient stock to complete your order, the products will be placed on backorder. The backorder timeframe will be indicated online and that these are approximate and any shipping delays could occur outside our control, however we will ensure customers are updated accordingly.
Our key suppliers keep their warehouses well stocked with our favourites and yours. Products in stock with our supplier generally take about 3-4 weeks before they are dispatched to you. Most of these items are larger in size and need to come via our local warehouse before we can send to you.
Made to Order – We specialise in choice allowing you to personalise your furniture for you. Made to Order products will generally take approx. 8 to 16 weeks to arrive in our warehouse, depending on the supplier. At busy times such as Christmas, these leadtimes can extend further. At the time of order we will quote an approximate ETA.
In-store Only – The options for some of our products are extensive and require special service that only our experienced consultants can provide in store.
Colours - of items displayed on your computer monitor, phone or other device may vary from the true natural colour of the fabric/leather/timber or other material. In some cases, it is possible to request a sample swatch prior to ordering; even then, there may be minor variations in colour. While all efforts are made to provide you with accurate colour descriptions there may be a variety of reasons why there are colour inconsistencies. This may include, but is not limited to dye lot variations, timber grain and density for example.
Timber products are sold with the understanding that each piece is unique with a variation of colour, knots and gum veins. Natural timber is beautiful, unique and varied. Consistency is only achieved in man made products.
Dimensions/Specification - Our furniture collections and accessories may be subject to a variance of up to 3% of that of the dimensions indicated.
Please examine all goods prior to signing the acceptance of the product in good condition. Any damages must be reported to the store and recorded on the collection paperwork signed upon receipt. If you elect to collect from our store or warehouse, we will need to dispatch the products there before you can collect. Please note that collection of goods must be booked in advance with our store in advance. Collection is available at specific times which will be advised when you call to book collection.
If you are ordering an item that’s on Backorder, Pre-Order, Order-In or Made to Order, please refer to the quoted approximate lead time for that product as a guide to when we will have the item(s) in stock. This information is on each product page. Once all products you have ordered are in our store or warehouse we will notify you via email or phone.
When collecting your items, it is imperative that you bring an appropriate vehicle, assistance to help load and packaging to protect your goods. We cannot be held responsible for damage that may occur during collection or transit. If you organise a third party to collect your items remember they are accepting responsibility on your behalf.
When your purchase is ready for delivery, we will contact you. As our warehouse space is limited goods can only be kept for a maximum of 7 days. If you are unable to accept delivery within 7 days, storage fees may apply. Please examine all goods prior to signing the acceptance of the product in good condition. Any damages must be reported to the delivery/courier driver and recorded on our delivery sheet. Gallus & Rea is not responsible for any damages that may occur resulting from you not checking goods on delivery.
Courier Deliveries: Most courier services do not provide an option to book a specific delivery day or time and surcharges may apply if rescheduling is required. It is important to note these will most likely be delivered to your door by a single delivery person. Unpacking, rubbish removal and assembly is NOT included in this service. All parcels are dispatched requiring a customer signature upon receipt. You may elect to mark your parcel for ‘Authority to Leave’ with the courier, however it is important to note any goods under these consignments will no longer be considered the responsibility of Gallus & Rea or the consigned courier should they be lost, stolen or damaged upon arrival.
Standard and Premium Deliveries: Delivery of larger size items in Albury/Wodonga and surrounding areas is provided by a third party and includes a two-person team. We cannot give you an exact delivery time on the delivery day; however, the delivery team will call you 30 minutes in advance (or up to one hour if required) on the day of your delivery. If you wish to change the delivery day, please ensure that you notify us at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery day. If no-one is at home on the arranged delivery day, a second delivery fee will apply.
If you are purchasing larger size items of furniture, please ensure that you know whether the items will permit the safe delivery into your home. Gallus & Rea is not responsible for any furniture items that do not fit into your home (this includes access to your home such as lifts, stairways, corridors, doorways and driveways), and we will not refund or exchange if this occurs. Our delivery team will take the utmost care and responsibility when delivering your product into your home, however we are not responsible when there is a real risk that the goods or your premise will be damaged, or the delivery team injured, due to poor accessibility. Our delivery team will inform you on arrival should they decide this to be the case. The goods may then be left at the safest agreed point or you may decide to sign an indemnity (if offered) and waiver for any damage to product or premises as a result of our drivers being requested by you to attempt such a delivery.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the consumer laws in Australia. You are entitled to reject, have the item replaced or refunded for a major fault should the goods fail to meet the purpose intended. If there is a minor failure with the product, you are entitled, at the election of Gallus & Rea, to have the product repaired within a reasonable time, have the goods replaced or be refunded the purchase price of the goods.
Gallus & Rea encourages customers to consider safe use and installation of all furniture to suit your individual circumstances. It is important to consider the placement of any furniture or homewares items, particularly in relation to your personal circumstance as well as those of others living in or visiting your home, such as children or the elderly. Toppling furniture is a safety risk. Some products have wall anchor or fixings provided within the packaging; in these cases they MUST be fixed to the wall for safe use. We aim to ensure that the pricing of the goods and services shown on the website is correct at all times. However, the web pages may not always accurately reflect the correct details at the moment at which you place your order. Gallus & Rea reserves the right to change prices and correct errors without prior notice at any time prior to dispatch of your order. In certain circumstances, we may need to reject your order. This may happen where the requested Product is not available or if there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the Site.
All prices include GST (at the current rate in Australia) where applicable, however exclude delivery costs which will be added to the total amount during checkout.
Promotional Offers - Most of our promotional offers and deals are shown on individual product listings and will automatically carry through to checkout. If you have a discount code, you will need to enter it during check out in order for the discount to apply.

Please refer to the supplier’s warranty which is supplied with your goods. Your warranty period commences from the date of receipt of your goods. Please ensure all appropriate product care is completed to be covered by any warranties. Gallus & Rea will not be liable for freight or shipping expenses in relation to warranty claims.
